5 year old thought crime

This boy and his friends found a pocket knife in a park on the way to kindergarten. He picked it up and thought about taking it with him, but decided it was a bad idea and left it there. His friends were talking about it in class, and the principle suspended him because at one time he intended to bring the knife to school. Here is the story:


The principle later reversed his ruling, but what was he thinking? A five year old makes a good decision, and gets punished for it? Wow.
